The Félibrée — Felibrejada in Occitan — is the travelling celebration of Occitan language and culture in Périgord. Since 1903 it has brought together residents, associations, artists, craftspeople and visitors in a different host town.
Spoken, sung, written and passed on across generations.
Music, dance, costumes, crafts, food, literature and contemporary creation.
Decorations, welcome and logistics are built through months of voluntary work.
The restored and OCR-readable historical programme remains available for research. Dates, prices and activities shown in it apply only to 1979.
Read the 1979 programme →Explore the photographs and documents from the Brantôme Félibrées, with provenance, rights and restoration status recorded.
Open the archives →The Occitan cross, paper flowers, language, music, dress and shared meal belong to a living culture. JAB separates documented facts from interpretations and asks for human review of heritage translations.
